Seattle is a great city. There’s so much to see and do. Seattle is also known for grey skies and lots of rainy days. It’s best to leave the house everyday prepared for the typical weather. A local told me that they can spot tourists a mile away by the tale-tale sign of the umbrellas they carry. Apparently people who live in Seattle gave up on umbrellas a long time ago. It’s easier for them to simply wear waterproof clothing. This brings me to the jacket I wore around the wonderfully wet city last week. Carhartt’s Cascade Jacket for women is the best rain jacket that I’ve ever owned. Trust me, water isn’t going to touch you in that thing. The Dura-Dry breathable fabric keeps you warm without making you sweat like crazy, the hood detaches, there are a ton of pockets, and there are cords and straps on the hood and sleeves so you can adjust it to your liking.
