This winter is dragging on and on. We’re all longing to bare our arms and legs, but the weather just won’t allow it. Here are a few ideas on how to switch up your warm outfits. Get a sweater that is a size or two larger than you would usually wear, then try these ideas out.
Belting an oversized sweater can help create a nice silhouette. Perhaps you could use a simple one you really love, or maybe you could use multiple belts. In the photos above I paired a few that compliment each other. Check out these Carhartt belts that could add to your outfit. Think of using a ribbon or a tie around your neck to create another element of style. The leather bow I’m wearing above is from Freshly Picked. Another way to accessorize your oversized sweater is to wear a scarf. I used a Carhartt cable knit infinity scarf. The similar textures go well together and offer an extra bit of warmth. Layering with a vest is also a good option. See how to make an American Flag vest like the one shown above. And a statement necklace can be a great component to compliment your sweater.
Be creative and get out of your winter rut.
