Catcalls have been a popular issue as of late. Let’s face it; catcalls are never okay. They are a vehicle of disrespect and devaluing. But what if we strove to build women up, instead of tearing them down? Here are a few different takes on common catcalls heard ‘round the world. Notice that the comments now reflect on the work the women are doing instead of the way the women look. Maybe we should all stand back and think about how we first perceive females. I’m speaking to men and women alike. Are your first impressions superficial? Or do you consider what each human can bring to those around them, be it through hard work, kindness, or creativity? You might be surprised, changing the way you view others can even have a positive affect on you and how you perceive yourself. Let’s all try shifting our focus from the superficial to the heart of the matter, the woman herself.
