When you’re a Carhartt woman, you know that work doesn’t stop because of a little snow. You suit up and take on the elements no matter what weather may come. Meet Hawaiian artist, Juvana Soliven. She’s been all over the world to pursue her craft, but this is her first Michigan winter. To most folks familiar with more tropical climates, any amount of snow can be daunting. Juvana, however, is taking this new season like a champ with her sandstone in tow. I got to tag along as she finished up some chores around the studio.
In a few weeks we’ll revisit Juvana and see what she’s up to inside the studio. Stay tuned!
