I’m super excited Carhartt is opening a new location in downtown Chicago! It has a textile theme and a great vibe. There’s a pool table in the back and all sorts of odds and ends to look at. The grand opening will be tomorrow night from 7-9pm on 18 South Wabash Avenue. There are all sorts of festivities planned for the evening. If you’re in the area, come on down. Be one of the first 150 people there and you’ll get an exclusive shirt designed by Paige Foley. Hope to see you there!

I’m in Boston to do some stories on a few inspiring women in the area. I can’t wait to share them with you in the following weeks. It’s been a great trip so far— my first time in this neck of the woods. I got to spend the day in Dedham, right outside of Boston yesterday. The Carhartt store in Legacy Place is incredibly interesting. Most of the materials that make up the space are reclaimed lumber. Boats and boat frames are suspended from the ceiling, and beautiful boat drawings and plans cover the walls. There’s even a pool table in the middle of the store for the shoppers who want to chill for a bit. Stay tuned for the upcoming posts about Boston women!

The Carhartt store, located in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, is one of the coolest stores I’ve been in. Huge murals cover the walls, beautiful built in bookcases span from floor to ceiling, and all sorts of interesting antiques fill the main room. There’s a pool table in the back and a sitting area with some really comfy chairs. I spend a lot of time in there hanging out with the staff and browsing through clothes. If you’re in the area, you should stop by and check it out.
